India Face Twin Injuries Ahead of Fourth Test vs England

On Wednesday, July 23, India will face a tough challenge in the five-match Test series against England. After three games, the Three Lions lead 2-1, and if they win the fourth game, they will secure the series early. For this reason, the Men in Blue are actively preparing, striving to achieve results. However, the game will not be easy, as a wave of injuries has hit the team.
India loses players
Ahead of the match, which will take place at Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester, it has been announced that India will be unable to include injured all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy and left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh in their squad. The former suffered an injury to his left knee and will not play in this series. The latter suffered a thumb injury during training and will not play in at least the fourth match.
Solving lineup issues
Given the loss of players, India’s coaching staff plans to use Shardul Thakur as their seam-bowling all-rounder. He will replace Reddy. In addition, the Men in Blue have included young fast bowler Anshul Kamboj in the squad. However, it is not yet known whether he will make his debut for the team or whether Prasidh Krishna will return to the starting XI. India cannot afford to make any mistakes, as it needs nothing less than a victory in the upcoming match.
