IPL: Bharat Arun Signs Two-Year Deal with Lucknow Super Giants

Bharat Arun joins LSG as coach

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) is undergoing preparations for the new IPL season. The squad finished seventh in IPL 2025 with six wins and eight losses in 14 matches. This is a disappointing total, forcing franchise management to seek ways to improve the results. One such way was the news of LSG Bharat Arun being invited to join the coaching staff.

Who is Bharat Arun?

Arun will be the new bowling coach for LSG in the coming IPL seasons. This is a major boost for the team, as they now have a very experienced and successful professional at their disposal. For instance, he worked with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2024 and made a significant contribution to their IPL championship.

According to information available to insiders, Arun has signed a two-year contract with LSG. Under his terms, he will be actively involved in developing the bowling resources of the franchise. Bharat reportedly decided to leave KKR after the team parted ways with head coach Chandrakant Pandit.

What’s next

Arun’s arrival field is expected to leave the LSG coaching staff mentor, Zaheer Khan. His one-year contract with the franchise was not renewed. The team management may also decide to part ways with head coach Justin Langer to rebuild the team’s coaching structure completely.
