BCCI Presidential Election - Key Meeting in Delhi

The end of September may bring important news for Indian cricket fans. They can mark two dates in their calendars in advance. On Sep. 20th, the Board of Control for Cricket in India will hold a meeting with ruling BJP members. Following that, on the 28th of this month, the BCCI, as insiders report, is going to elect a new set of office-bearers.

Interviews with selectors 

In anticipation of the events mentioned above, on Sep. 18th, the BCCI conducted a series of online interviews with new national selectors. It is expected that seven candidates will be chosen. All of them will take office on Sep. 28th. Two of them will be appointed to the men’s selection committee, four to the women’s committee, and one to the junior committee.

The BCCI and BJP meeting on September 20th is expected to occur at the residence of Home Minister Amit Shah. Insiders anticipate that the events will unfold similarly to 2022, when the contours of the next BCCI leadership were determined. More information should become available in the next few hours.
