India Dominate Pakistan in Asia Cup 2025 Clash

India defeat Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 match

On Sep. 14th, a 2025 Asia Cup clash took place featuring the arch-rivals India and Pakistan. The Men in Blue easily chased down the target of 128, accomplishing this feat in just 15.5 overs. This victory marks their second win in two games, placing them at the top of quartet A. Alongside Pakistan, the squads from the UAE and Oman are also playing in this group.

Asia Cup 2025:

  • Pakistan – 127/9
  • India – 131/3

Powerful Indian Bowlers

Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first. But their innings was unsuccessful as they struggled to handle the Indian bowlers. Hardik Pandya struck with the first ball, and dismissed Saim Ayub for a duck. By the 10th over, Shaheens were 49/4. The spinners Yadav (3/18), Patel (2/18), and Chakravarthy subsequently caused them even more trouble and allowed them to reach only a modest total of 127/9.

India’s Successful Chase

The target Pakistan set in their innings proved to be an easily achievable milestone for India. They needed only 15.5 overs to complete the chase. Openers Gill and Sharma set a brisk tone, racing to 61/2 in the powerplay. The defining partnership came from Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma. They added 56 for the third wicket. Suryakumar, unbeaten on 47, anchored the innings with six boundaries. Green Shirts’ Ayub took three wickets, but it was too little. As a result, India reached 131/3 with 25 balls to spare.

What’s next

In the third group stage match, India will play Oman on Sep. 19th. Their opponents are currently at the bottom of Group A’s standings. They have lost both of their clashes so far – against Pakistan and the UAE.
