IPL 2025: Andy Flower Confirms Virat Kohli’s Fitness Ahead of Crucial RCB vs MI Clash

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) lost their first match of the 18th IPL season on Tuesday, April 2, losing to Gujarat Titans (GT) by 8 wickets. Before that, the team had beaten Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Perhaps what upset many fans was not the defeat but the health problems that superstar batter Virat Kohli was experiencing. He injured his finger while attempting to field a shot during GT’s chase.
Andy Flower Calmed the Fans
After the match, RCB head coach Andy Flower commented on Kohli’s health situation at a press conference. He hastened to reassure the fans by saying that the player is fine. Thus, fears that Virat had serious problems that could potentially end his season were allayed.
Kohli to Play in Next Match
In the next match of IPL 2025, RCB will have to play away against Mumbai Indians (MI). It will be played on April 7, and the team will be able to count on Kohli to help, given that the player has escaped a serious injury. In the upcoming game, it will need to regroup and fix its inconsistency with the bat. If Virat were unable to play, it would be hard to hope for this goal.
